Terms of Service

Using Ledge

Ledge helps you record transactions, review receipts and statements, plan budgets, track savings, import receipt emails, and view rule-based spending and savings insights. You may use Ledge only for lawful personal finance tracking and related personal recordkeeping.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate account information and may not use another person's account without permission. Ledge uses third-party authentication, and access may depend on the continued availability of that provider.

Beta access

Ledge may be offered as a closed beta or limited-release service. Beta features may change, break, be paused, or be removed. Apphibian may limit access, invite new users, revoke access, or stop the beta at any time.

Your records and imports

You are responsible for the transactions, receipts, statements, emails, notes, categories, budgets, savings goals, and other information you enter, upload, forward, connect, review, save, or delete in Ledge. You should review imported, parsed, suggested, merged, or categorized records before relying on them.

Receipt, email, statement, OCR, and AI-assisted parsing can be incomplete or incorrect. Duplicate detection, merchant learning, category suggestions, statement classification, spending flags, budget pace, and savings projections are tools to help you review your records; they are not guarantees.

No financial advice

Ledge provides organization, budgeting, savings, import review, and rule-based insight tools. It does not provide legal, tax, investment, accounting, credit, insurance, or financial advisory services. You are responsible for decisions you make based on your records or Ledge's outputs.

Third-party services

Ledge relies on third-party services for functions such as authentication, hosting, database storage, file storage, email receipt ingestion, Gmail connection, monitoring, and AI-assisted parsing. Your use of connected services, including Gmail, may also be subject to those providers' terms and policies.

Acceptable use

You may not misuse Ledge, interfere with its operation, attempt to access another user's data, upload malicious files, reverse engineer the service, bypass security or rate limits, use automated abuse traffic, or use Ledge for illegal, harmful, or fraudulent activity.

Ownership

You keep ownership of the information and files you submit to Ledge. You give Apphibian permission to use that information as needed to provide, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve Ledge. Apphibian owns Ledge, including its software, design, branding, documentation, and related materials.

Privacy

Apphibian's handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. By using Ledge, you also agree to that policy.

Data controls

Ledge includes controls to export transaction data to CSV, disconnect Gmail, remove transactions, delete user-created app data, or delete your account. Some local receipt or statement copies may exist only on your device and may not survive reinstall or use on a new device.

Availability and changes

Apphibian may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of Ledge. The service may be unavailable because of maintenance, outages, third-party provider issues, or other causes. Apphibian may update the app, website, features, limits, or these Terms over time.

Termination

You may stop using Ledge at any time. Apphibian may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for the service or other users, or if continued access is no longer practical. Sections that by their nature should continue after termination will continue to apply.

Disclaimers

Ledge is provided "as is" and "as available." Apphibian does not promise that Ledge will be uninterrupted, error-free, fully accurate, or fit for a particular financial decision. To the extent allowed by law, Apphibian disclaims all warranties, express or implied.

Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, Apphibian will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, financial losses, or decisions made using Ledge. Apphibian's total liability for claims related to Ledge will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid Apphibian for Ledge in the three months before the claim or $100.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You and Apphibian agree to bring disputes related to these Terms or Ledge in the state or federal courts located in Florida, unless applicable law requires a different forum.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Ledge changes. When we do, we will update the effective date on this page. Continued use of Ledge after updated Terms are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
